Pure Akan, a talented songwriter and performer, has revealed that he wrote his “Mensesa me ho” song in response to discrimination by a mobile money agent.
In an interview with Dabrehene on Life FM Entertainment Show, Pure Akan revealed that a mobile agent refused to do business with him because he wore dreadlocks, thus he composed the song “mensesa me ho”.
‘One evening, I decided to go and redraw money from a mobile money agent, but the agent refused to offer his services to me because of my hair, so I decided to write the song “mensesa me ho’, he said.
The prolific song writer continued to advise upcoming artists and individuals to always stay true to their identity and remain focused even if they are being discriminated against as a result of what they do.
“I know a lot of artists and individuals facing the same vilification as a result of their chosen path, but I urge each and every one to keep pushing and let their hustle go pay,” he advised.
The Ghanaian Hip Hop and Highlife singer and songwriter, Pure Akan, is currently promoting the classic tune “Mensesa me ho” from his “Nyame Mma”
The song is a mid-tempo sound track that discusses self-awareness, acceptance, and remaining loyal to one’s identity, and it is available on all digital platforms.
