According to Charterhouse, Koforidua will be handed the right to host the event and it is expected to happen on Saturday, April 4.
“…the scheme will take this year’s Nominees Jam back to the beautiful city of Koforidua on Saturday, April 4, 2020, to continue a party that started some 6 years ago in 2013,” Theresa Ayoade, the CEO of Charterhouse said on Saturday, February 29, during the launch of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Last year, Kumasi hosted the concert at the Kumasi City Mall and pulled a record attendance.
Afro-dancehall musician Stonebwoy, dancehall star Shatta Wale, hiplife/afrobeats duo Dopenation, Kumasi-based rapper Flowking Stone, highlife songstress Adina, Tema-based rapper Yaa Pono, afrobeats newcomer Wendy Shay, gospel songstress Obaapa Christy, gospel singer Kweku Gyasi, and other rising stars were among the stars who rocked the stage.
After the Nominees Jam, Charterhouse will hold ‘VGMA Music Business Seminar’ on April 30 to discuss prospects in the music industry, followed by ‘Celebrations Concert’ slated for Saturday, May 9, in Tema.
