Veteran DJ and entertainment radio personality, Andrew Amoh, known in showbiz circles as Andy Dosty has stated that the new crop of musicians are arguably and undoubtedly in cruise control and holding the fort down for the music industry.

He made this revelation when he appeared as a guest on the Drive talk on Atinka 104.7 FM hosted by DJ Candyman on Friday, 18th January 2019.

When asked by DJ Candyman what his take on the new crop of artistes was, the ‘Daybreak Hitz’ host emphatically stated that the new crop of artistes including Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Adina, and the likes are the saviours of our music industry.

He added that the aforementioned artistes shot to the limelight and took over the waves during an era when the Ghana music industry was going down the drain following infiltration of songs by Nigerian artistes.

“You would recall that we got to a point in time in the country where only Nigerian songs were making waves, DJs all over the country were keen as mustard to air Nigerian songs until the new crop of artistes came ” He bluntly told DJ Candyman

Although the award-winning radio DJ dissociated himself from the group of DJs and media personalities who hitherto were playing Nigerian songs solely, he was quick to add that he is however happy that the status quo has finally changed because songs from the young sensational artistes have flooded the airwaves now.

“But as it stands, everywhere you go, your hear people play songs of these new artistes which I think is very encouraging and great” He passionately opined.
