The news of the passing of famed musician A.B. Crentsil on Wednesday morning sent Ghanaians into a state of mourning.
The musician has been ailing for some time, but the exact reason of his death remains unknown. At the age of 79, AB Crenstil passed away.
The singer-songwriter shared some pearls of wisdom with young people who desire to pursue music careers as well as those who are currently in the business months before he passed away.
A.B. Crentsil encouraged aspiring musicians to plan carefully when making a move in the industry in a December 2021 interview with JoyNews’ Becky.
He advised artists to create a well-thought-out plan to help them carry out their objectives.
According to AB Crentsil, aspiring musicians must have catchy tunes and deliver flawless performances if they want people to like their work.

Crentsil, a musician who has been delighting Ghanaians since the 1970s, has performed with the bands Sweet Talks and El Dorados. Later, with Crentsil serving as lead singer, Sweet Talks, led by the duo of Crentsil and Smart Nkansah, established themselves as the house band at Tema’s Talk Of The Town Hotel.
Later, he started the Ahenfo Band, his own band.
